Perfume is often described in a musical metaphor as having three notes, Top-Middle or Base, the Top note also called the head notes, evaporate the fastest, they form the first initial impression, so obviously this is one of the most important, how do you want to feel? A good fragrance has the ability to make you confident and assured, emotions are often closely intertwined with memories, it has been scientifically proven that smells and aromas can impact on mood and emotions, some aromas are even associated with youth, such as grapefruit, bergamot gives a feel good factor, peppermint makes you appear perky vibrant and alert! yes amazing isn’t it, hence why some people have a perfume for every occasion, whether to give you a romantic feel or a nice relaxed weekend scent, or even the daily spritz for the alert professional.
TOP NOTES: usually associated with either Mint, Lavender or Coriander.
MIDDLE NOTES also referred to as heart notes, as the top note begins to fade, the hearty middle note comes into its own, blending the top note with the base note, “the secret to a good perfume” contains a strong base note, which is the main body of the perfume.
MIDDLE NOTES: include Seawater, Sandalwood and Jasmine.
The Base Notes bring depth and solidity, typically rich and deep and are usually not perceived until 30 minutes after application.
BASE NOTES: include Tobacco, Amber and Musk.
